Many of you must have heard of using intermittent fasting for weight loss but do you know that you can use this method in maintaining your weight also.

If not then here in this blog I am going to share how you can maintain your weight using intermittent fasting.

But before we start here is a brief explanation of this fasting method.

What is intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting is a popular form of fasting method which includes different techniques that can be used in weight loss or any body-related goal.

This fasting method is commonly used for weight loss. In recent times it has become famous and picked by many individuals.

IM or intermittent fasting is an eating plan that switches between fasting and having regular food.

Although there are many intermittent fasting methods few of them are most used, like — the 5:2 method, 16:8 method, the Eat-stop-eat method, and many more.

How to maintain weight?

Now, as we know about IM, let’s talk about maintaining weight. As of now, I guess we all know how to actually lose or gain weight, but maintaining weight is totally different.

We all have different maintenance calories which are measured by so many factors like weight, rest, activity level, etc. That maintenance calories are the number of calories we need to have or be in to maintain our weight.

There are several calorie trackers available on the internet which can help in finding an individual’s maintenance calories. Though the data will not be 100% accurate, the actual maintenance calories will be somewhere around the shown data.

So in conclusion — we need to have our maintenance calories in order to not lose or gain any weight.

How to use intermittent fasting in maintaining body weight?

So, as you know eating in maintenance calories is the key, no matter what type of eating routine you follow it does not matter.

You can follow any type of intermittent fasting method.

I will suggest starting with 12-hour fasting.

And slowly increase it to 16hours.

Hope it will help.
