Pre-workout supplements!!!

I used to think about how it feels to have pre-workout drinks.

Do the gym sessions really get as impressive as people say on the internet? Do you feel instantly energized after you use it?

And above all, what is the difference between coffee and a pre-workout? After all, a pre-workout is mainly filled with caffeine (for energy).

To get answers to all of my questions I finally ordered a pre-workout supplement for the first time in my life.

While the reason behind buying the supplement is my underlying excitement of trying something new, there is also a proper reason behind the purchase.

At that time I was on a cut, and my leg day used to be very tiring, which forced me to take the decision of buying a pre-workout supplement.

I was at the end of my cut, and as the calories were so much lower, I used to have zero motivation to show up for leg days (sometimes almost every day).

That is why I decided to take pre on my leg days, which I eventually switched to taking every day.

My experience

The first day is the best day of your pre-workout journey.

The energy rush you feel is insane!

As I said, I used to use it on leg days, and because of that, my leg days started getting more and more exciting.

Even on a cut, because of high energy, I started lifting heavy.

I started with a half scoop.

And when I ended, I used to have 1 full scoop.

The only thing I hated about pre is the itching caused by beta-aniline.

But except for that, the experience was great.

Here are all the takeaways I learned after using pre-workout for the first time.

Takeaway

Pre-workout is freaking addictive.

You will become overly dependent on the supplement.

And at some point, you will feel that workouts without pre-workouts are getting boring.

Your brain will always seek that dopamine rush to fuel your workout motivation.

Moreover, you get used to the daily recommended dose and start putting in more and more over time.

That ultimately leads to the overuse of caffeine.

On top of that, the sudden energy crash after a few hours will leave you with no energy and negative thoughts.

I am not kidding.

I used to be depressed after every leg day. That is the main reason I feel like I should stop taking pre-workout supplements.

So, the main takeaway will be to know how to control yourself.

If you are like me and have never tried Pre, then you can consider buying it. but also be prepared for the consequences.

I will suggest only taking Pre on those days when you really need some extra push to go to the gym.

On other days, just stick to coffee.

That will be a better choice, if you ask me.

Life saving tip — Do not have pre on empty stomach. Have minimum food as low as just a banana. You will thank me later.

So, if you ask me, will I ever buy a Pre again? My answer will be yes!

I would surely like to feel that energy again.

But for the next time, I will be prepared.

I know what the limit is.
