Why you should start tracking your food? The straight answer will be, to be more accurate about how many calories you are putting inside your body.

So many people eat high-calorie dense food in a small amount and think they have eaten very less but in reality, if they tracked that food they would have seen how many calories they have consumed.

How does tracking calories help you to lose weight?

If you are someone who is thinking of weight loss or, is currently on a cut but does not see any desired result and thinking about what to do to lose that extra fat in your body. Then tracking food can really be a game-changer for them.

Tracking calories may help you to know accurately how many calories you put in, cause without tracking the food you have to assume the amount (weight) which will not be correct every time. So if you track your food you will be aware of your food choices and prefer more whole foods instead of processed food as it contains lots of calories.

Why did I say this?

Because as I said before, you would be eating just a bite of processed food and thinking you have taken only 20–30 calories but in reality; the amount is much higher.

How tracking food can help in bulk?

You are planning for bulk and measuring how many calories have to take but do not know how to reach the goal as you don’t have proper knowledge of foods. Once again I will recommend starting tracking food as then only you will be aware of how much food you have to consume for a caloric surplus.

One more thing I want to add, please if you are planning for a bulk instead of going for a dirty bulk you should choose lean bulk, cause in that way you will put on less fat and the same amount of muscle as dirty bulk.

How to track food?

After all these doubts cleared you must have thought but bro how can I track my calories? I will suggest buying a kitchen weighing scale and measuring every food you are putting inside the body.

Now after you know the weight of your food download any food tracking app like MyFitnessPal, HealthifyMe, etc, and put the weight in that app so you will get to know the number of calories you consumed.

here’s a kitchen weighing scale link that I personally use.
